Hangzhou Philharmonic Angel Chorus, founded in 1999, is the first
private youth choir in our province. Now it is a group member of
China Chorus Association.
Under the leadership of the director hong yan and the permanent
conductor zhou wei ping, the troupe has gone through ten years'
journey, they have grown from nothing, from small to large, and
finally become a well-known choir that frequently wins awards in
chorus competitions at home and abroad.
In July 2004, it won the gold medal in the third international
Olympic chorus competition held in Bremen, Germany. It is the
first choir in Zhejiang province to win the highest prize in the world
chorus competition.
In July 2006, the choir won the special performance award in the
22nd "bela bartok" international a cappella competition and
international folk song festival held in Hungary, and in the same
year, the choir won the highest award in the first national
children's choir festival jointly organized by the Ministry of
Education and the ministry of culture.
In 2007, the choir visited Russia and was named as the musical envoy of the Sino-Russian Culture Year, which was highly praised by the Russian audience. The news of the performance was published in Guangming Daily and Pravda newspaper, and the news of the performance was also broadcast on CCTV news.
In July 2008, she won the fourth place in the modern music group and the silver medal in the folk music group in the 5th World Chorus Competition held in Graz, Austria.
In 2009, she won the first place in the folk group and the second place in the classical group in the "Golden Gate" International Teenage Choral Festival.
In July 2010, our group took part in the 28th Gandonigelo International Music Festival in Barcelona Catalonia, Spain, and won the champion of the children's voice group, breaking the 28-year cycle that no one from the Chinese mainland ranked in the top four, and refreshing the history.
At the end of July 2010, the choir took part in the 6th World Chorus Competition held in Shaoxing, and won the silver prize in the chorus group and the fourth place in the church music group.
The troupe is the first youth chorus group to hold a sing-solo concert in Zhejiang Province. They have performed on the same stage with excellent choirs from the United States, France, Germany, Austria, Korea, Japan, Poland, Australia, Hungary, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and other countries and regions, and accumulated rich stage experience. They have also visited Germany, Belgium, Spain, the United States, France, the Netherlands, Austria, Hungary, Russia, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other countries and regions.

Hangzhou Philharmonic Girls Chamber Chorus was founded in 2010 with more than 40 members, most of whom are female conductors and teachers of Hangzhou Philharmonic Angel Chorus and music teachers from primary and secondary schools in Hangzhou who love chorus. The choir takes "love and dedication" as its tenet and takes popularizing and improving the choral art as its own duty. Since its establishment, the choir has persisted in scientific and systematic training, constantly trying to perform all kinds of excellent works from different countries and regions, and linking the world with songs.
Philharmonic Girls Chorus has a variety of artistic expression styles, including classical, modern, popular and other styles, which can be skillfully controlled, delicate and bold and unrestrained. It has its own characteristics in the female vocal group, and is a golden name card in Hangzhou art groups. In the first China-South Korea Chorus Competition in 2016, Philharmonic Girls Chamber Chorus won the second place in the adult group. In 2017, as one of the three foreign teams, Philharmonic Girls Chamber Chorus was invited by the Korean Chorus Council to perform perfectly in the first Jeju International Chorus Festival. From time to time, the troupe received the guidance of choral masters such as Chen Yunhong, conductor of the Taipei Chamber Chorus, and Professor Katalinkiss from Liszt Conservatory of Music in Hungary. The artistic level has been steadily improved. In 2017 and September 2018, she held special concerts with the Hangzhou Philharmonic Angel Chorus, which was a great success.
